Pulp and Paper Producers Cooperation was established on 12.05.1972 by the papers producers firms with the leadership of (SEKA) the pulp and paper factories which is the first governmental industrial establishment of our Republic history. This Cooperation turn to a Pulp and Paper Industries Association on 01.08.1972.

    Later on, the Association has carried on its activities as Pulp and Paper Industry Foundation since 01.02.1989 in order not to exclude SEKA, which was the main manufacturer in our sector, due to the Associations Law preventing the public establishments from affiliating with the Association.

   Pulp and Paper Industry Foundation, represents 80% of the paper-board capacity of our country with its 18 members.

Pulp and Paper Industry Foundation has become a very important establishment representing the Turkish Paper Industry both at home and abroad maintaining its constant development since 1989 when it was first founded.

 



 Our vision is to become one of the most powerful paper organizations in Turkey, to be an establishment representing the Turkish Paper and Board Industry both in the World and in our own country, and to make the Turkish Paper and Board Industry become comparable with the World Paper and Board Industry in terms of efficiency, technology and quality.

 



   Our mission is to make the Pulp, Paper and Board and Paper Product Industry to develop technologically in terms of production, efficiency and quality, to determine the problems that the Paper Industry is likely to face during the process of Turkey’s affiliation to EU and to seek the necessary precautions to be taken, to assist in determining policy pertinent to the Sector conveying the necessary information about this subject to the Official Authorities, to investigate for the raw materials such as agricultural waste, annual plants and waste paper as well as to improve the forest resources, to make researches that will help increase their usage, to multiply the Technical Training facilities related to the subject, to make contributions to train human force having technical education at all levels, to follow and introduce the researches and developments inside and outside of the Paper Industry, to pursue the technical and financial developments inside and outside related to Pulp and Paper, to conduct every kind of examinations or let them be conducted , to arrange statistics or let them be arranged, to distribute these to the related people, to arrange seminars, symposiums, conventions in order to enable the problems of the Sector to be negotiated at meetings where specialists and industrialists attend and find solutions for them, to provide expertise services in Paper Sector, to affiliate with similar and related organizations at home and abroad.
